Cecilia has been involved in the implementation of outcomes-based approach to student learning, assessment, feedback and technology enhanced learning pedagogies and tools. She provides consultations to faculty regarding the design and assessment of innovative educational research projects, grants and initiatives. She also leads, builds and supports faculty efforts to incorporate community to develop skills and knowledge related to the scholarship and assessment of teaching and learning.
Research interests: Engineering and Science Education, Development of Generic Skills, Assessment, Community of Practice, Technology Enhanced Learning.

How can universities and institutions enable academic staff to deliver sound blended learning courses? This can be achieved by upskilling staff, improving retention initiatives and sourcing key skill gaps from an international talent pool. This session will discuss all of these areas in detail:
Creating an appealing environment for teaching and learning through skills development, staff collaboration and talent acquisition
Learning from experience: Improving collaboration between departments and staff to foster a culture of blended learning excellence
Designing and implementing baseline operating standards across departments/faculties for today’s blended environment to ensure high quality service delivery
